Lacking Motivation? Here's How to Get Back on Track

Hey!

Do you ever wonder WHY you have such a hard time getting motivated and taking actions that you KNOW will move you towards your goals??

Its a question as old as time, lol.

I have a goal, why aren't I doing what I know I should be doing?

I get this question ALL the time with new clients or prospective clients who I talk to.

And the simple answer is you don't have clarity.

You may be thinking wait what? I know I want to lose weight or feel better. I know I want to make more money or spend more time with my friends and family.

This may be true ( though so MANY aren't even this clear)

But...You don't have clarity in how to get there. Meaning all you are focused on is where you are at and where you want to be. But all that in between is real fuzzy and it is so overwhelming you simply do NOTHING instead. Also, that gap (where you are vs where you want to be) may seem SO big that it doesn't feel possible (more on that in a moment.)

Not having a plan of action, way to assess progress, and recalibrate when needed is why so many sit on the side lines. More wishing and hoping than doing and being.

As silly as it sounds finding clarity can be as simple as this (at least to start.)

1. What do I want?
2. Who has done this before?
3. Do what they do.

Literally follow their process to start, but also be able to clearly:

-Identify what is working and what is not
-Measure and track in some way
-Readjust accordingly based on feedback and progress.

That is it. Realize that the path becomes clear as you travel through it. Starting there will get you some momentum and experience to be able to make the process more your own.

Having a step by step process to follow is great, but also having 100% clarity that you CAN DO IT. The perfect plan isn't perfect if you are not going to do it.

This is where having a support system and accountability can be so useful.

Anyway, I hope this gets the wheels turning just a little bit and inspires action forward. Remember, progress not perfection.

And be sure to make the goal worthy and important. It doesn't matter how clear the path is or how capable you feel you are in accomplishing it. If its not important you just wont do it.

Have a great week!
